Professional Experience:

July 1990 – onwards : Basil Bostami & Sons Law firm , Amman – Advocate
My area of practice is focused on company, commercial and private client work. I have undertaken high-level negotiations, mediation, arbitration and litigation for my clients. I have also worked on many business ventures in the Middle East.

• Partner in commercial conveyance dealing with all aspects of commercial conveyance including leasing, investment property and development. I have advised a number of major private companies on property acquisitions/financing and disposals and commercial leasehold matters.
• Also working in civil and commercial litigation, in particular, disputes arising from breach of contract, trust and tortious liabilities, I undertake work relating to probate and tax matters, traffic accident and insurance claims, debt collection and insolvency action .
• Advising on legal issues concerning startup joint ventures and financing agreements, antitrust and a broad range of other legal issues faced by operating business of all sizes.

Advising on intellectual property matters and E-commerce in the Middle East.

I was also involved in drafting and amending legislation in Jordan, namely the Companies Law, The Labour Law, The landlord and Tenant Law and The Illegal Income Law.

The couple my academic study of Law in England , I was selected to work for Theodore Goddard in London where I gained experience of a wide range of company and commercial transactions for private companies including mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures. Attending meeting with clients and drafting a variety of agreements, including Cross Border Lease agreements, License agreements and Distribution agreements, Also involved in Intellectual property law including copyright, trademark , trade secret and licensing .

My duties included research and case preparation, interviewing clients and writing case summaries for the conclusion of contracts, Also gained valuable experience in coordinating Discovery. Right from the beginning of my Traineeship I assisted in litigation and Mediation by visiting the Courts, arranging the procedural details and preparing briefs for hearings.
